The **Maserin In-Estro 165** is a light-weight slipjoint pocket knife, designed by Alessandro ‘Bonus’ Olivetto. It is striking how slim the knife is. Combined with its low weight you will hardly notice that you are carrying the In-Estro with you.
This weight is the result of the nice aluminium scales. These scales were enhanced with stunning micarta inlays to complete the whole. The blade is made from D2 steel. This is a tough type of tool steel that retains its sharpness well. Do, however, be careful with moisture and acids: D2 is not completely stainless. So clean it after use, and occasionally add a couple drops of oil.
You open the Maserin In-Estro with two hands. When opened the blade is ‘locked’ by a slipjoint. Not a real lock, but enough resistance to prevent it from closing. The advantage is that, because of this slipjoint, you can legally carry the In Estro in many places in Europe.
All in all the Maserin In-Estro is an appealing knife, for an amazing price.
