With this **Boska cheese curler marble** you can create wonderful cheese curls. The curler is also called a *girolle*. It is made to curl Tête de Moine. A semi-hard, cylindrical cheese that melts in your mouth. Compared to many other cheeses Tête de Moine is namely not cut. The cheese is firmly pressed together and will come into its own when given space. By curling it the cheese will change its structure and give it its full, creamy flavour. The crust will crumble, leaving you with nice cheesy curls. The highlight of every cheese board. But also great as a dessert or snack.
## How to use the Boska cheese curler
Before you start using the curler make sure you clean the knife and metal pin. Preferably with a drop of oil. Secure the metal pin in the marble base.
Take the cheese and remove a thin piece of the top. Now you will see the ‘monk’s head’. Afterwards you place the cheese (preferably chilled at approx. 7°C) on the cheese curler by pressing the pin in the middle of the cheese. The five small plates on the base ensure that the cheese stays in place. Even as you turn it. Now all you have to do is secure the curler on the pin and you are good to go!
Turn the knife clockwise. Don’t apply too much pressure and let the knife do its work. After turning it a couple times you will see nice, full cheese curls. Enjoy!
After use put the cheese back into the fridge and clean the different parts of the cheese curler. All parts are dishwasher proof but can also be washed by hand.
