The **Forge de Laguiole Andrée Putman table knives** are six stylish table knives designed by French designer Andrée Putman. The elegant table knives have a slim shape and a straight edge. The sharp blade cuts through bread effortlessly, from a croissant or brioche to a hard baguette. The round shape at the end of the blade means the knives are also surprisingly good at spreading!
## Forge de Lagiole Andrée Putman blade
The blade is made from matted stainless steel. This matte finish gives the knives a velvety and graceful look. Matted steel is also less quick to show fingerprints or other stains. And because the knives are not serrated, they are easy to sharpen if they start to lose some of their sharpness over time. On the top, exactly between the handle and the blade, you can see the characteristic Laguiole bee in minimalist form. Andrée Putman’s signature is engraved on the right side of the blade.
## Forge de Lagiole Andrée Putman handle
The handles of these table knives are made from ash wood. However, the wood has undergone a process that has made it very dense. A synthetic resin is added to the wood under high pressure. This makes the handle a lot stronger and also water-resistant. Even though the knives are water-resistant, you shouldn’t put the knives in the dishwasher. To keep the knives beautiful for as long as possible, we do not recommend cleaning them in the dishwasher. Simply wash by hand and then dry with a cloth.
