The **Fenix E30R flashlight** is compact, rechargeable and has a total output of 1600 lumens. Absolutely amazing for a light that is only 10 cm. The SST-40 LED light provides warm white light with a broad beam. As such you can light up everything within a distance of 203 meters. Perfect during a camping trip or when walking the dog. Despite its size it offers a comfortable and solid grip and is easy to use. The Fenix E30R is the perfect flashlight for daily use.
## How to use the Fenix E30R
With the stainless steel switch you can turn the Fenix E30R on and off. You press the switch once to switch between the different light modes. Is the light turned on? As soon as you press the MODE button, the light will temporarily function in the stroboscope mode. To deactivate it you press the MODE button again. The light will always return to the lowest light mode.
You don’t want the light to accidentally turn on while you are on the road. To ensure it doesn’t you can use the lock-out mode. To activate this mode the flashlight needs to be turned on. You click the switch twice. The light will confirm the mode by blinking twice. Now the flashlight will never burn if you don’t want it to. To deactivate this mode you click the switch twice again. The light will immediately start in the lowest light mode.
## Charging the Fenix E30R
You can easily charge the Fenix E30R with the magnetic charging cable. Because the cable does not go into the light this charging option has a longer lifespan than the other lights. It takes approx. 3 hours to charge the battery. If you don’t have time to charge the battery in the meantime, take a spare battery with you. You can namely also use the E30R with two Cr123A batteries.
If you want to know the capacity of the battery all you have to do is turn the light off. Quickly press the switch once. The battery indicator will show you the current battery voltage. As such you can find out how full or empty the battery is. This indicator does not work in combination with the CR123A batteries.
## Prevent deeply-discharged batteries
Are you not planning to use your flashlight for a while? In that case, it’s best to unscrew the tailcap (the bottom end of the handle) a few turns. This will prevent your battery from becoming too deeply discharged, which can happen if the circuit of the battery stays in contact with the flashlight without being used or recharged in the meantime.A deeply discharged battery cannot always be revived and recharged, which would be a shame!
Do you have a flashlight with a built-in battery? Then make sure to charge your flashlight at least once every 3-4 months, even when not in use. This prevents the battery from becoming too deeply discharged, and it’s also good for the lifespan of your battery!
