The **Streamlight Stinger DS LED HL** is a very bright, rechargeable flashlight. The light has a maximum light output of 800 lumens and a broad beam. A deep, parabolic reflector ensures that the light, despite the broad beam, still shines really far. Perfect to light up a large part of your surroundings.

* Medium: 400 lumens, 219 metres, 2 hours and 30 minutes
* Low: 200 lumens, 155 metres, 5 hours

The casing is made from anodized aluminium. As such the light is light-weight, but also rock-solid. The handle contains a rubber part with a ridged texture. It provides you with enough grip, even when the light is wet. The lens of the light is made from polycarbonate with a scratch-resistant coating.
A rubber ring with three flat sides is included. As such the light will stay in place on a flat surface. The light has an IPX4 rating. This means that the light is splash waterproof. As such you can still use the light when it rains.
## How to use the Streamlight Stinger
The light has two buttons. One button on the side of the head and a tactical button on the back of the light. These buttons both have the same function. Press the button halfway to temporarily turn the light on until your release the button. The light will continue to function when you completely press the button. Press the button again to hold it to switch between light modes. Quickly press the button twice to activate the stroboscope mode.
## Charging the Streamlight Stinger
The light contains a NiMH battery (nickel-metal hydride). A NiMH battery has some advantages when compared to a lithium-ion battery. These batteries are made to be charged at all times. NiMH batteries are namely not sensitive to overcharging. The battery also won’t lose its capacity if the battery is empty. In fact, Streamlight advises to completely charge and discharge the battery before first use.
The light does not include a charger. To charge the battery you need the [Streamlight Stinger charger holder] with the [Streamlight 230V AC charging cable] or the [Streamlight 12V charging cable].
