The **Bark River Bushcrafter II** was designed as the ultimate bushcraft knife. After all, you don’t just receive a name such as Bushcrafter. A great deal of research has preceded this. And the result is amazing. Each bushcraft enthusiast will recognize that this is an amazing bushcraft knife. The shape of the blade is perfect for all bushcraft tasks and the handle feels sublime in hand. This Bushcrafter II is slightly bigger than the normal Bushcrafter. A little more to hold, and over a cm more blade.
The blade is made from CPM 3CV-steel. A tool steel that is known for its exceptional strength. As such it won’t break and will retain its sharpness well. You do, however, need to be careful with moisture and acids: CPM 3V is not completely stainless. So clean it after use and occasionally add a drop of oil to keep this knife in great shape. The edge has been enhanced with a convex grind which you can [maintain by stropping it](/en/ct/stropping.htm).
The handle is made from Hellfire Maple Burl. A breathtakingly beautiful type of wood. It is extracted from the root wood of a maple and then stabilized with a red resin. As such the material is sustainable and incredibly beautiful. A real eye-catcher.
The Bark River Bushcrafter comes with a leather belt sheath with magnet retention. It can be worn both straight (max. belt width 5.0 cm) and diagonally (max. belt width 5.0 cm).
Bark River makes all of its knives almost completely by hand. As such each knife is unique. Especially when you are working with natural materials a knife can differ from the photographs. The knife you receive can therefore be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same.
